About Cheri
Cheri brings a rich and varied background to her work as a presenter, consultant and Reiki practitioner. Since she has been a successful business owner herself she understands what it takes to run a successful business and also maintain a well balanced and fulfilling personal life.
Cheri received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication from Portland State University in Portland, OR. She has continued her education by regularly attending workshops, classes and retreats in the areas of communication, business development, meditation, coaching, Reiki,and EFT. Her strong commitment to education and staying up to date with technology and techniques ensures her clients are receiving the best of what is currently available.
She began her work in the field of personal development with Context Associated in 1990. Here she worked with corporate groups and individuals to help them identify and break through limiting beliefs and attitudes so they were able to be, do and have more of what they really wanted -- both personally and professionally.
In 1993 she went on to become an associate with Turbo Management Systems, a corporate development company dedicated to empowering people to achieve world-class performance. In addition to helping clients with attitudes and beliefs, she worked with them to further develop the skills of running a business, including process analysis, leadership, communication, team-building and managment.
She returned to Context Associated in 1997 up in Seattle, and then managed the transition to the courses being offered by The Excellence Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation established by the gradiates of the programs. What an opportunity to learn about doing business on a very tight budget with limited staff -- a challenge many of her clients are faced with.
In 2000, Cheri attended the Academy for Coach Training and completed their coaching certification program, becoming a Certified Professional Coach (CPC). She has since worked independently as a business and personal coach. The primary emphasis of her practice is helping business leaders be the change they want to see. Her clients are independent business owners and corporate leaders who are committed to being the best they can be -- both personally and professionally.
In October of 2007 Cheri entered the Fast Track program with the Oregon Chapter of the National Speaker's Association (NSA). She is now serving on the 2008-2009 board for NSA as the Program Chair.
In addition to her work as a coach, Cheri is a part-time Reiki (energy healing) practitioner offering Reiki treatments and first through third degree classes in Lake Oswego, OR.
Cheri is both motivated and motivating. She knows how to make things happen and is skilled at assisting other to do the same.
