What is coaching?
Coaching is an on-going partnership the accelerates client's learning, performance and progress in their personal and professional lives. The coach assists clients in transforming their lives by helping them gain access to their core values, make choices that are in alignment with those core values, and then act on those choices in order to create a life that supports and honors who they are. I offer several different Coaching Services, depending on your needs.

Why does coaching work?
Coaching works because clients gets the support they need to make the changes they want. Some reasons for this are:

  1. The coach has a single job: Help the client get what they want.
  2. Meetings happen regularly rather than only when a problem comes up.
  3. Clear agreements about what will be accomplished between meetings
  4. Both business and personal goals are included to ensure balance and fulfillment.
  5. Goals set are in alignment with higher values. Only goals that have meaning are included in the process
  6. We get to the core of what is happening as opposed to working on symptomatic behaviors.

How is coaching different than consulting?
There is some crossover between what a coach and a consultant provide, but the basic difference is that most consultants are experts at information, systems and business analysis. A well-trained coach is an expert in people and life/success dynamics. Consultants are brought in to analyze a situation, make recommendations, install something and/or to solve a problem. A coach is brought in to help reach business targets and/or provide support and advice on a 1-1 basis with individuals within a company.

How do I find the right coach?
When you talk with prospective coaches, share your goals, dilemma, opportunity or problem and ask them to describe the approach they would use in coaching you. If you are still unsure, schedule a sample coaching session. Base your decision on a combination of the coach's qualifications: education, experience, style, approach and demeanor.

What is reiki?
Reiki is a natural healing art which uses the laying on of hands to support healing. It works to bring balance to the body, mind and spirit. It is a non-invasive technique, used worldwide. The healing energy seeks to remove any energetic blocks and to re-energize the system so the body/mind/spirit is better able to maintain optimum health and well-being.
